Before students learn about mass communication, they need to learn about
communication on an individual level. This course introduces them to foundation
principles of human communication. Classroom discussion about interpersonal
communication will point to how this is influenced by the media and people's
interpretations of their experiences with media as they are shared in
interpersonal communication.
